Schedule "B" Flying Rules

Airshare Partners in Flight Ltd
Schedule “B” Flying Rules

Purpose
The purpose of these Flying Rules is to ensure the company operates its aircraft in a fair, safe, and businesslike manner. The company owns, operates and manages a fleet of light aircraft for the exclusive recreational use by its shareholders. All company shareholders agree that they are subject to the provisions of the Schedule “B” Flying Rules in place and amended from time to time by a majority vote of the Directors of the company. These provisions are in place subject to the shareholder being advised of any changes or amendments to these rules.

Effective Date
These Schedule “B” Flying Rules have been approved by a majority of the
Board of Directors on the 29th day of June, 2010.

Shareholder Responsibility
All Shareholder Pilots flying company owned or leased aircraft will do so in accordance with transport Canada or any other Regulatory or licensing authority as applied to Civil Aviation in Canada. They will further fly company aircraft in compliance with Airshare Partners in Flight Ltd Schedule “B” Flying rules.
If through pilot negligence, damage is done to our aircraft, other aircraft, or property, the shareholder may be held responsible and liable for all costs to the Company as a result of the incident in excess of the amount paid by our Insurance policy.
At the discretion of the Board of Directors, any shareholder, who through negligence, causes an aircraft to be unavailable to the Shareholders, may be charged a daily fee of 2 hours flying rate per day until the aircraft is returned to service.

Aircraft Care
It will be the responsibility of all shareholders flying company aircraft to do so in accordance with the conditions set out in the POH for each airplane. In addition to these conditions, the following key factors will be taken into consideration to preserve the aircraft and remain safe.
Avoid Shock cooling in power off descents by revving the engine every 30 seconds for one or two seconds. Always use the recommended settings outlined in the POH.

Avoid engine run-ups in gravely or dirty areas. A nicked prop can cost up to $3,000.

When starting the engine, ensure the area behind the aircraft is clear and not pointing at an open hangar or parked airplane.
Check oil level before every flight. Only add if below 5 US quarts and do not exceed 6.5 US quarts. Ensure you enter any oil additions into the Journey log.
Company aircraft are only approved for landing at airports listed in the current CFS unless in an emergency situation. Anyone wishing to land at an unlisted airfield may request the approval of the President. This approval may require that the services of a CFI be used to ensure the strip is safe and long enough for our shareholder to manage safely on their own. This will be carried out at the shareholders expense.

A Weight and Balance should be completed where passengers are carried. The combined weight of the fuel and passenger(s) will be entered in the Journey log when more than one passenger is carried.
Cruise power settings should not exceed 2,500 RPM. Become familiar with the POH.

Always lean the engines for cruise or extended taxi situations.

Safety Requirements
All company aircraft must be hangared at CZBB after each flight unless you have been approved for an overnight flight to another airport. When away from CZBB either secure overnight hangar storage at your expense or securely tie the airplane down using control locks and ensuring the rudder is stable. This can be accomplished by use of the seat belts if required. Do not leave the aircraft on the ramp at CZBB unless requested by our AME to accommodate his repair of other aircraft. He will then be responsible for placing the aircraft into the hangar at night.
NEVER start an engine in the hangar. Show good airmanship by ensuring your prop wash does not affect anyone or anything.
Taxi slowly; be careful of obstructions, vehicles, and other aircraft. Negligence is a shareholder expense.
Spins or stalls are not permitted while carrying passengers. Acrobatics are not permitted in any circumstance.
A shareholder may not knowingly carry a passenger who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

ALWAYS stop the engine while boarding or unloading passengers or cargo.
Shareholders may not fly Special VFR at night.
Low Flying is not permitted except in emergency situations. Transport Canada regulations apply here.

While carrying non-family passengers, the Passenger Waiver located in the desk in our hangar must be signed prior to the flight and left in the deposit box.
Any cargo carried, including survival gear must be stored securely with tie downs or nets prior to take off.

Flight Booking
Flight bookings are made by phone with the Booking Secretary or his designate. Email bookings are not accepted.

Bookings are only accepted from Shareholders whose accounts are in good standing and who are current. Currency according to Airshare Partners in Flight Ltd requires that the shareholder has flown a certified aircraft within the immediate past 90 days. Company 90 day currency may be re-instated with a Company named pilot or a Company approved CFI.

When booking, the following information is required:
· The intended start and stop times of the booking
· The intended flight destination
· Indicate whether a Flight Plan will be filed
· Where flying on a Flight Itinerary, the name of the responsible person and their phone number will be left with the Booking Secretary

Flight bookings will normally be taken no more than 7 days before a flight. Exceptions may be made by the President or his designate.
Bookings will not normally be made for more than 3 days unless special permission has been granted by the President or his designate.
Bookings will be for a minimum of 2 hours with one hour increments added to suit the flight.

No more than 2 advance bookings can be made in the 7 day period. After the first of these bookings has been flown, another booking can be made. The President or his designate may make exceptions.

Flights are expected to begin near the start time and end not later than the booked return time. In the interest of safety, PLEASE do not fly if weather, health, or aircraft serviceability are in question. Call the Booking secretary and let them know the reason for not returning as booked. In cases where you return more than an hour prior to the booking time, call the Booking Secretary and let him know. There may be someone behind you wishing to go earlier.
FAILURE to make a booking before a flight will result in the cancellation of flying privileges.
The Booking Secretary will make every effort to be fair to all shareholders in terms of aircraft availability

Administration
Shareholder invoices and statements will under most circumstances be emailed or mailed within the first 7 days of a month. They are required to be paid by the 20th of the same month. Failure to pay on time may result in the temporary cancellation of flying privileges. Interest may be levied on unpaid accounts. The Directors have the right to seize a share and sell it where in excess of $1,000 remains unpaid and no satisfactory arrangements have been made.
Shareholders are individually responsible for ensuring they meet the Transport Canada 6 month, 2 year, and 5 year recency requirements. They are required under these Flying Rules to advise the Booking Secretary where they do not meet these requirements. Likewise, shareholders are required to keep their medical current depending on age and will not attempt to book an aircraft unless they are legal to fly.

Flying privileges may also be cancelled by a resolution of the board of Directors for any shareholder who in their opinion is not compliant with these Flying Rules. In this instance, the shareholder will be given an opportunity to be heard by the Board prior to such cancellation.
Fuel purchased away from CZBB will be credited toward an outstanding account when submitted with payment. Simply deduct the amount you paid for the fuel from the invoice balance and remit the difference. If there is a substantial difference in the “away” price, the credit may be limited to the amount charged by Alpha Aviation at CZBB.

There is a closet located to the immediate left of the hanger doors. It has a combination lock on it for security. The locker contains spare oil, cleaning material, 2 spare headsets, 2 Mustang life jackets, some survival gear and tie downs. These are for shareholders use and should be put back immediately after that use.

Flights to the USA are restricted to those who have flown there at least once with a company approved CFI. During this flight all US and Canadian Customs requirements should be met by the shareholder under the supervision of the CFI. Future flights will be accepted only after the approving email from the US Border Services has been sent to the Booking Secretary. Should a shareholder have to purchase a decal, he or she will be reimbursed similar to the “away” fuel purchase.

Contact with the Insurance Company or other agencies Airshare deals with will be carried out by the President or his designate only.

Safety and Airworthiness
Snags of whatever nature, mechanical, electrical, communications, etc are to be reported immediately to the Booking Secretary. The Booking Secretary will take whatever action is deemed necessary by either repairing the problem or reporting it to the AME. Please note that only the Booking Secretary is to report the snag to the AME.

Should you experience a hard landing or unusual attitude that you even think might stretch the aircraft beyond its limits, report it to the Booking Secretary. It’s smart to be on the safe side.

Should you damage the aircraft in any way, land or stop it as soon as possible and move it to a safe area. Report it to the Booking Secretary/ President before trying to move it again. Should this happen when away from CZBB, and you cannot get in touch with either of the above, call a competent person such as Paul Weston or a local AME before you try to use the aircraft again. Ensure it has been certified airworthy before you fly it back or move it.

Who Flies
Only shareholders may normally act as PIC of Company aircraft. The exception is when a CFI has been hired to conduct a check ride or approved upgrade training. Only CFI’s approved by the Board may be hired and act as PIC.
All shareholders who purchase a share must have a valid and current pilot’s license, a current medical, and complete a check ride with a Board approved CFI before they can book an aircraft for their own use. A subsequent type check ride in the other 2 Company aircraft must also be made with a CFI prior to booking. The Booking Secretary will forward a copy of the initial successful check ride to our Insurance Broker.

· OTT Rating
· Cross Country Flying
· Mountain Flying
